Hot Potato · devnet playground
Same program, same proofs, same pool rules as mainnet. Fake SOL. Break it.
This is the full TATER system on Solana devnet: the floor vault, the Meteora DAMM v2 pool, the permissionless mint, and the shield → redeem → claim exit. Everything on this page works with a wallet that holds devnet SOL. The mainnet version and the write-up are in the post.
- Switch your wallet to devnet. Phantom: Settings → Developer Settings → Testnet Mode, network Solana Devnet. Solflare / Backpack: network selector → Devnet. If a transaction fails with "Blockhash not found", the wallet is still on mainnet.
- Get devnet SOL. faucet.solana.com (a few SOL per day), or
solana airdrop 2 --url devnet. - Play. Buy on the pool, mint from the vault when the pool trades above 2× backing, shield some TATER into a private note, redeem it at the floor, claim the SOL. Then watch what each one does to the two charts.
Devnet policy is deliberately loose so you can see the mechanics quickly: the mint bucket refills at 60 TATER/hour (mainnet: 0.25), the ratchet runs when I run it, and I may reset the whole thing. Note secrets for shield/redeem live in this browser under a devnet key, separate from mainnet notes.

Hand TATER back to the vault at the floor, in three signed steps. Secrets stay in this browser (export). Floor ceiling: … SOL/TATER; the exact floor is revealed to you at step 2.
Mint new TATER straight from the vault. You pay the higher of 2× backing and 90% of the pool price, and every lamport lands in the reserve, so each mint raises backing per token. Rate-limited on-chain: … TATER per hour, hard cap, unused allowance does not bank. Mintable right now: … TATER.

Trade: hits the pool directly; quotes move fast on a small pool, raise slippage if rejected. Redeem: the vault pays the floor regardless of the market. Mint: the vault sells new TATER above backing, proceeds to the reserve, throttled on-chain. The floor is a separate exit at the vault; see the post. Solscan · pool

R/S is a hard ceiling on it:
a redemption can never pay more than that per TATER, and the floor is proven never to fall.

What to try. Buy 0.5 SOL of TATER and watch spot jump and "mint price" follow at 90% of it. Mint a few TATER (you pay the vault, not the pool) and see the reserve and backing tick up. Sell the minted TATER into the pool: that is the arb the mechanism exists for, and it is why the chart goes down while the floor's ceiling goes up. Shield 1 TATER, redeem, claim: the vault pays you the floor in SOL regardless of what the pool says.
Operator side (deposit, ratchet proof, issuance, mint policy) runs from the CLI in the repo; nothing on this page can do those. The floor opening for devnet is held by the blog's redeem endpoint so the redeem step works here too.
